EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing kit

Overcome trauma and phobias for good using state-of-the-art, evidence-based EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an innovative therapy that uses bilateral stimulation of the brain to process challenging emotions and memories. EMDR clients are guided to explore the emotions and thoughts that arise after a traumatic situation, or in relation to a phobia, while either following a light with their eyes or holding pulsating hand grips.

EMDR is a safe, comfortable, and effective treatment for both PTSD and phobias. It often does not take long to work and is a good adjunct to talk therapy as well.

As a unique offering to our practice only, EMDR clients are invited to decompress in our sensory room at the end of their session. A sensory room is an intentionally designed space featuring multisensory equipment like fiber optic lights and tactile surfaces, to help people calm sensory overload and relax.
