Kathryn provides a calming and collaborative space to focus on YOU – to identify areas of opportunity, create a personalized plan, and set strategies to achieve your professional goals. Plans can be tailored to students just starting to explore, those looking to make a career shift, and those looking to make big career changes.

Your plan will be tailored to your specific needs and may include the following:

What to Expect:

  • At Juno Counseling and Wellness, we understand care counseling requires a strategic approach to be effective. This is why we offer career counseling as a structured program, to help you focus on what you need so you can get to where you want to go! Our career counseling package includes the following:

    One 90-minute discovery session – this session includes goal exploration, history taking, assessment, and the use of questionnaires and other assessment tools necessary.
  • One 50-miune development session – this session helps build on progress made in the discovery session, helping you fine-tune your career planning.
  • Two 30-minute follow-up calls – these sessions are scheduled to strategically support you in your process.
  • Additional sessions or phone calls can be added as needed.

Kathryn has several years of career counseling experience at her alma mater, the University of Virginia, where she works with alumni and graduate business students at the Darden School of Business and McIntire School of Commerce. With a background in consulting and wealth management, she particularly understands the challenges of working professionals.

She holds an M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University, and a M.S. in Commerce and B.A. in History from the University of Virginia. She also has advanced training in career counseling from the National Career Development Association. Kathryn is passionate about blending her business and mental health background to support clients’ career development and well-being.

    Anyone looking to advance their career can benefit from career counseling. I work with students, recent graduates, mid-career professionals, and executives.  
  2. How does career counseling work? 
    I offer one-on-one 50 or 100-minute sessions.
  3. Do I need to come into the office? 
    I offer sessions both in-person and virtually. Many of my clients are working professionals who appreciate the flexibility of meeting virtually during the day based on their work schedules. We can determine the best model for you. 
  4. How long does career counseling take?  
    The duration will depend on your needs and goals. It may involve several sessions or several months of weekly meetings.
  5. Is career counseling confidential?  
    Yes! I adhere to professional ethical standards to ensure your privacy.
  6. Can career counseling help with work-life balance?  
    Yes. I appreciate that, in reality, “work life” is not separate from “personal life.” We can discuss strategies for managing stress and creating more balance across your responsibilities.
